Saeb Erekat, Chief Palestinian Authority Negotiator

While there is yet a large contingent of naysayers bloviating in the press, those actually engaged in the negotiations are openly optimistic.  This article (link below) describes the mood and attitude of Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian Authority negotiator, who is directly involved in the negotiations.  Both sides must move away from their earlier positions and both are reluctant to do so on account of political pressure at home.  Both are balancing on a very thin wire, but appear confident of reaching the end of a two-state solution to the problem of Middle East peace.  It is the naysayers who are getting the lion’s share of the press, but those actually involved in the process ought to be heard first and most loudly.

Go here to read about it:

This is an encouraging sign that both sides are “maturing” in reference to the peace process.
